Dear colleagues, we suggest you to watch the video broadcast of the seminar of legal defense which took place on 21 of July in Higher School of Advocacy organized by the International Bar Association in partnership with the Ukrainian National Bar Association.

The first seminar was held online and aimed at providing defence lawyers with the essential knowledge and exposure to international law related to alleged atrocity crimes. Supported by the UNBA’s Higher School of Advocacy, the training was highlighted the importance of providing equality of arms for parties, in line with the rule of law.

The second seminar will be focused on international criminal law and held on 28th of July.

Among the topical issues for discussion, the seminar program includes an overview of the main postulates of international criminal law and their applicability to the current conflict in Ukraine.
