Dear colleagues, we suggest you to watch the video broadcast of the seminar of international criminal law which took place on 28 of July in Higher School of Advocacy organized by the International Bar Association in partnership with the Ukrainian National Bar Association.

The seminar provided an overview of the basic tenets of international criminal law as it relates to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

During the seminar, legal organizations spoke about the fundamental aspects of international criminal law, including the core crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression.

The important questions that also highlighted were the history of international criminal law from Nuremberg to the International Criminal Court (ICC); the concept of individual responsibility; the key role of the ICC; jurisdictional issues; the principles of complementarity and universal jurisdiction; individual responsibility; and joint-enterprise/command responsibility.
